9 Months. One Team. One Mission. | NASA Rover Challenge
This project documents Trine University’s senior design team as they prepared for and competed in NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge in Huntsville, Alabama. Over nine months, I captured interviews, team meetings, shop footage, and competition day coverage to tell the complete story of a complex engineering build under pressure.
The film blends:
- Documentary storytelling — student testimonials, live audio, and unscripted team moments.
- Cinematic visuals — detailed b-roll of design, fabrication, and racing.
- Narrative editing — weaving setbacks, problem-solving, and race-day drama into a cohesive arc.
The result is a high-impact short documentary that highlights teamwork, resilience, and the hands-on learning that defines engineering at Trine.
